Change the walk signal going south to the train station at the corner of Tiffin and Lakeshore.
Currently the crosswalk signal comes on after the advanced left turn. Often there are cars do not stop to let walkers go across or those that do stop jeopardize being rear ended by someone try to go through the light. I did they Can’t see the crosswalk signal clearly or they are ignoring it.This is a serious danger to pedestrians at that corner.
I’m glad I found this before creating a new one. This intersection seems to be a popular access-point to the path for pedestrian families. Usually with strollers or kids…always crossing nervously. Have seen close calls here too. Accessing the path, as a pedestrian, is too dangerous. Both Minets point and Toronto street are dangerous access points as well because of turning cars. Since a pedestrian overpass is unlikely, stopping cars from turning while the pedestrian sign is on would be much safer. This should be considered an addition to a lower posted speed.
