Windrow snow clearing
Provide clearing of windrow snow from the end of the driveways. Other cities such as Vaughan, toronto, and mississauga provide this to all residents.
If it is a budgetary concern, then only provide this service for senior residents. The elderly should not be clearing the heavy, icy snow left over by the snow plows

I had finally finished shovelling my driveway and the snow plow passed by as I was walking back to my garage and not a care in the world piled up the snow right infront of my driveway

This is the very hard ice pushed on to my driveway, which incredibly hard to clean. Snow blower doesn't help either. I have health issues, I am very much concerned.

I am a single mom living on a corner, and my kids have missed school because they’re school van cannot get into my driveway, nor can I get out.

I live two doors from a circle - called a pregnant circle by city staff. Most of the time the plow operator puts a lot of snow into my neighbour and my driveway (we are both seniors). This happens late at night so it is really set & frozen in the morning and difficult to remove. This year the operator did not clear the roads completely so we got less snow than usual. It's not necessary to clear the streets to bare pavement in our area. As I age in place, I would like to know that the drivers will provide windrow clearing for our houses.

I recently had to pay three times within 24 hours to have the windrow removed. It was over a metre high each time. I physically couldn't do it. I have been trapped in my driveway for days and spent hundreds having just the snowplow windrow removed. I am the first house after a street of no driveways and they fill it in repeatedly. I have never had such a problem before. It is beyond what one person can handle. A metre high three times a day is impossible to keep up with. I watched the plow back up three times and shove all of the snow into just my driveway. My neighbours driveways barely got anything. I would never of moved here had I known my car would be inaccessible most days in the winter.

I think that the City should remove the windrow when it is excessive. I understand some snow will push into driveways, but when you get a 18" high pile, three feet deep across your entire driveway it is a little much. If there was an emergency most vehicles would get hung up in that pile of heavy dense snow.

As a senior, it would be wonderful to have this done. It is very difficult to remove the windrow as it normally has large chucks of ice in it & is very heavy.

The city absolutely needs to implement this necessary service.

I think the City of Barrie should plow the snow from windrows, especially for elderly residents, people with disabilities, and driveways that are at the start of a long stretch between other driveways.
The snow piles up so much from the plows that even our snowblower can’t clear it properly. It turns into ice and becomes impossible to remove, making it really hard and unsafe to even get in and out of the driveway. A windrow removal program would make a huge difference for safety and accessibility. Hope this can be considered—thank you! -

Please!! The snow plows come at random times of the day, 2-3 times AFTER I spend hours shoveling my property just for the snow plow to come and block the end of my driveway with ice chunks. It is ridiculous... Especially when I park a car on the boulevard part? I have to dig my car out of my own driveway simply because of the snow plow! If other cities and towns have this service, we NEED to have this service!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have this done yesterday!!!
I threw out my back because of the heavy snow at the end of my driveway and was not able to walk for weeks. i clear my driveway and then have the plow come at night and block me in my own home. Please have the city move all the snow to the side, not in front of my driveway!!!!

I never knew there was such a thing and when I researched it, this is a service we desperately need. Why have all the snow get pushed back onto your driveway after shoveling all day? The city needs to implement this and provide this critical service to its residents.
Snow needs to be moved onto the sides and not blocking our driveways!!!

This is a great idea!!!! I am a senior and have hurt my back shovelling all the heavy snow left behind by the plow. At times it seems like the plows leave as much snow onto my driveway as they can. My snowblower often gives up and can't handle the icy snow. Please do as other cities have done and clear this snow for all residents, especially the elderly.

Please allow for an option so that seniors could have the snow cleared off the end of their driveway. I know the heavy, wet, and icy snow gets dumped by the plow, making it difficult to clear especially for older individuals. Even charging a nominal fee ($100) for seniors to enroll in this service would help.
