This can be accomplished, but the cost would be prohibitive. I think people don’t realize they could hire a season’s worth of plowing and it would be less than the increase in taxes to pay for windrow removal.
It’s also strange to me the recent uproar. More than 40 years in Barrie and I never heard anyone wanting this until the last few years. I’ll hazard a guess these are mostly people new to Barrie. Regardless, I don’t believe moving to a snow belt city and then complaining about snow is rather silly.
