Spring Clean Up in Barrie-Volunteers should clean up outdoor areas.
Now that many people are unemployed, volunteers can clean up areas around the city. Particularly around shopping areas as there is a lot of garbage. City council should get the message out to employers & citizens for this weekend.

Underwater SCUBA park
Partner with the MacLaren or the Base Borden to create an underwater SCUBA park.
Barrie is a popular destination for Scuba diving instruction, but there is not a lot in Kempenfelt Bay to keep certified divers here.
I'm sure you would have an army of volunteers to scrub the artifacts to start the season.

Would like to see the women’s washrooms at Centennial Beach updated.no how water and hand dryers outdated and never work
Could have hand towels as well as add new hand dryers. Washrooms are very cold looking and should definitely be modernized. Thanks

Garbage Pickup Family Teams
During the Covid-19 set up neighborhood family garbage pickup teams to clean up all the trash along the roadsides and parks, Have the garbage workers supply bags and pickup poles to the family crews. People are tired and bored of being lock up in their homes this would allow them to go outside and get some needed exercise. I see this happening in different communities. I do a lot hiking the outdoor garbage is disgusting.

Enforce apartments and/or condos to take action to restrict pigeon infestation\
Enforce Property managers of apartment building, condos, and condominiums to take necessary action to restrict pigeon infestation. Pigeons are roosting on roofs of these buildings and their waste is ending up on balconies. Pigeon waste is a health hazard and personal property has been destroyed. People living in these buildings haven't been able to enjoy their balconies because of this waste issue. People have been told that we should keep our balconies clean and normally wouldn't be a problem. With the pigeon issue though keeping balconies clean has become an impossible task.

The bank at the corner of mulcaster and collier st. needs to have wheel chair parking in front of the bank not across the road .
There are no wheel chair parking spots in front of the bank. ( Bank of Montreal ). This makes it very difficult for handycap customers. The first 2 spaces in front of the bank should be for wheel chair. Collier St and Mulcaster.
There is one wheel chair spot across the road which makes no sense at all. Thank you2 votes -
Establish an official Arts and Culture Committee
The City's decision to close the Georgian Theatre without any consultation has revealed that the arts and culture community needs an official committee. The committee must consist of Councillors, staff from the Recreation and Culture Department and the Economic and Creative Development Department, and local arts leaders.
The City of Barrie once had a committee so there already is a precedent for it. The reason it was dismantled was when the Culture Department was created and the committee was no longer necessary. Now that that department is gone, the Committee must return.
Establishing an Arts and Culture Committee is the…
