Lower the vote threshold on this forum
This suggestion forum has been active for years now and I haven't seen any ideas reach the 500-vote mark. Clearly not many people are using this tool, so I suggest you lower the vote expectations or improve awareness. I've had a few suggestions crest over 100 votes, than stagnate, and than be removed. If I received considerable public support for my idea (on a forum barely any Barrie residents know about), why did you remove it? How many of these suggestions actually go forward? You need to improve this consultation process as I am loosing trust in the city to address public concerns. We need to be an innovative city - and this forum has innovative ideas! Stop throwing them away!
This suggestion has not received significant activity in over a year, and is now classified as inactive. The inactive status helps keep all idea statuses as clear and timely as possible, and allows for votes to automatically be returned to users. Please note that, as voters have up to 3 votes to use on a single suggestion, a minimum of 167 voters must support an idea to move it forward: http://bit.ly/2pd4d54

Anything you can do to make the residents aware would be helpful.
I've lived in Barrie for 12 years, been on the city website ... maybe 50 - 60 times looking for information, read both Barrie newspapers weekly.
I just found reference to this site today - on Reddit
I think it should be kept as is of 500 to prevent voter fraud
Thank you for the feedback; the forum will be included in the next Rec Guide.

Many idea statuses on this forum should be updated to Inactive as they have not had significant activity in over a year, but the forum is moderated as frequently as possible to ensure statuses are as relevant as possible.
As voters have up to 3 votes to use on each suggestion, a minimum of 167 voters must support an idea to move it forward: http://bit.ly/2pd4d54

Definitely agree, public awareness is very low, anytime I mention this page to people they had no idea it existed.
